I was in Japan back in the spring of 2018...i bought the "Awakening from Abyss" CD Japanese special edition...when i first hear it and saw the clips on JPflow i was simply jaw dropping...i thought to myself "these girls will conquer the world"...now im fully sure of that after these years,,,and one thing for sure, if i return to Japan i really need to see them live and buy all the rest of the Discography and Videography, even if i own the normal editions but really need the special ones...The Number 1 Fan here from Portugal with love...

It's a sad reflection of the age we live in when people are more drawn to the trite and superficial than to exceptional ability and genuine dedication. just singing in Japanese wouldn't make it great, If it is not supported by a powerful voice, wide range or deep voice. Well, this singer has all those criteria. Check out Lovebites' song called "Bravehearted EP version", the only Japanese song before re-recording in English. But hell, there are lots of western bands that I don't understand what they're saying.
Some people say the same as what you said , and they get attacked by Lovebites fans 😁 Well , I kind of agree with you , but in some of their songs ,Asami's voice sounds so good ! As for her English pronunciation , in my opinion, she intentionally distorts vowels for her to sing more easily . And the reason why she sings in English is that is that they want their main market in Europe and North America .
well, the singer and blonde haired guitarist can speak english pretty good. It's just a matter of accents. Asami the singer has sung with more than 10 musicians in Japan before joining Lovebites. I'm used to listening legendary bands with english lyrics like Loudness and X Japan, so this is Ok or maybe even better.

Great Band !
I used to think Joey Jordison is a great drummer. Then i thought Dave Lombardo is an even greater drummer. Then ... i`ve seen Haruna (and i know there's a half gorilla drummer out there too). Anything to say about Miyako ? Is there ?! ... Midori ? I mean ... i can`t ... even .. Miho ... bass player extraordinaire. And i've seem some great ones. Keeping up with Miyako and Midori means she's basically shredding on the bass and still has fingers. Asami .. absolutely love the way her voice is shaping in the past few years, becoming more dominant and clear. I think this band is on the way to greatness, i would dare say that they will be someday one of the best bands in the world. At this time i see no difference between them and giants like Slayer or Metallica. Yes, they don`t have the 40+ years on stages but i they'll get there.
