sayaka is like real life mako sato
She's good and smooth, but if she want to shave time she need to turn in more aggressively to make the car rotate. She tiny turn the steering wheel by small angle step while max make big brake and make a big steering entry input. Her style suits better real track, than gymkana in my humble opinion. Giving her time maybe she can suppress that "dead" time between brake and no throttle input, that's wasting time too. In a world, she lacks confidence to be more aggressive on car command.
Wow going back to back from the Sileighty and the 86 the 86 has incredible grip in comparison even though both drivers were incredibly smooth.
『目線をなるべく遠く見る』のはカートでもよくやりますから良い方法ですね。 でも織戸さんは『ブレーキを残す』派なんだなぁ… 『しっかりブレーキ＆減速をして、ブレーキペダルを離して進入』派じゃないんだね。 ハコ車…特にドリフトの人はどうしてもアクセルを入れて『滑らせて』コントロールしたがるんだよなぁ〜 このタイプの人はレーシングカート界では苦戦する傾向にあるけど、カート上がりの自分なんかはかえってこんなオーバーステアな車に怖くて乗れないわ ある意味凄いなぁ〜

ほんの300回転くらいヒールアンドトゥのブリッピングが足りていないところは、あえて織戸さん言わないあたり、「目線」にテーマに置いてやってるからかな？ そもそもクラッチの離し方が早い。自分はタイヤを丸い球体だと思って転がしてます。

at around 17:40, look at Orido's grip on the wheel, he is simply pinching it with a couple of fingers on his right hand - super light grip
I disagree with this, her grip on the wheel seems to be really light, as it should be - the driver loses resolution if the grip on the wheel is too tight, you can't feel what the tires are telling you if you don't allow the wheel to move. Also, a lighter grip allows the driver to release the wheel from the corner faster, drivers should always aim to use the least amount of steering input as possible

For people who want to know what's going on is that Max Orido san is teaching Sayaka san who is actually a drift racer how to drive for Grip Runs. Teaching her the basics of braking lines and Breaking points for Grip racing runs. Max Orido san also teaching her the balancing and controlling the car during turning. Really a very Informative Video. BTW Max Orido San's Daughter Maaya Orido is very Good at Driving..!

I’ve been a viewer of Best Motoring and Option since the late 1990s, and just by watching-and having a very minimal understanding of Japanese language-I have been able to figure out 70% of what is being discussed. This is all without English subtitles. Language can be broken down into visual interpretation in these EXCELLENT videos!

すごく楽しかったです。なんだか見てるだけで自分も早くなったような、、、グランツーリスモは少し早くなったきがします（笑）ただ、織戸さんと下田さんのお話と車の音がメインコンテンツと思いますが、それ以上にBGMを大きくしている意図がわかりません。いつも拝見しています。これからもよろしくおねがいします。
教え方がとてもわかりやすいですね。 グリップ重視、ドリフトよりも難しそう・・・。

He's instructing on braking and acceleration timings. In the first hairpin, she opens the throttle before the car finishes rotating, causing the rear to slide out. What's cool is that the color of the cones show the timings of the course. Brake on the first blue striped cone on the outside, turn in on green cones, aim for a late apex marked by the yellow cones, accelerate as the car finishes rotating. This looks like so much fun.
